Apartment Cleaning

Sorting Out the Odd Things!

Well, it is an open secret. Your apartment is dirty. But you never feel like cleaning it. The soiled clothes are piled up on the bed. Magazines are thrown all over the living room. You have a bath tub but you use it hardly. When you use the bathroom you don’t even look at the toilet bowl. After all, the sight of the stained toilet bowl is a nightmare to you. The kitchen too has its name on the list.

Well, you know everything. Your mom screams at you every morning over the phone for wearing the same underwear for seven days. But what can you do? You do not have time. You work the whole day at office and then party till late night. Amidst all this, you naturally don’t see the pile of dust on the sofa.

Stop behaving like a kid who runs around the house because he doesn’t want to drink the glass of milk. You are a matured man. I referred to the reader as a “man” because women are more sensible and bother about cleaning a lot more than men do. You will have to clean it one day or the other. How many times can you put off the cleaning schedule? How long can you wait? At one point of time you won’t even feel like coming back to the apartment. Start cleaning before that happens.

First select a date. It may be a holiday. Don’t delay the cleaning schedule even if you have a party with your friends. You can even go for a regular cleaning regime where you will have to work for fifteen minutes everyday. Select a target area. You cannot clean the house in fifteen minutes. Clean your bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom one by one. Cleaning a bathroom takes a lot of time. It is best if you hire someone or clean it in the weekend.

Make a list of things that you need to buy. Write down the most trifle things that you require on a piece of paper. You have wooden furniture, glass panes and electric appliances in your house. Life is simple but not very simple. You cannot clean everything with anything. It will either permanently destroy the appliance or will leave some indelible marks on it. The glass panes can only be cleaned with a glass cleaner. The wooden floors can be redeemed only with a proper wood polish.  Don’t get excited and waste your money by buying unnecessary things.

How about a business?

So do you clean the house regularly? You know what detergent powder has to be used on the floor and what detergent solution can be used on the sink. You have become an expert in cleaning stains and blots. Initially a small blemish would scare you but now a completely tarnished surface doesn’t bother you. You know what to use and how to use. Start a new business. Start an apartment cleaning business. Distribute leaflets in various existing apartments. Tell them about your new company and why should they choose you. Offer free trial services to them. Try to win more customers and not profits in the first few months. This will establish your business.

Cleaning an apartment is a good business only if you know the pros and cons of it.

Everyone dislikes cleaning. Your hands suffer. Your body suffers. Your mind suffers too. You feel as if you have been imprisoned somewhere. But if you infuse it in your daily schedule then cleaning the house will not seem to be a huge task. Your house will always look as new. Your love for the house will also increase. A warm and comfortable house becomes more inviting when it’s clean.
